This Block Island house uses two architectural images common to the island: the basic house with a "Block Island dormer" and the shed roof applied to the side of the house. In this case the porch becomes more than an applied form; it is a connector between the two house blocks that extends on through the house. The design respects Block Island tradition with a witty and lively twist.
