Grace Yoga

Built in 1860 as a two-room schoolhouse, the building was reincarnated as a church, a weaver’s studio and finally a doctor’s office. When it came up for sale our client knew it was ideal for her yoga school.

The low-budget renovation focused on restoring the shell and recreating the high well-proportioned interiors of the original two classrooms. New walls have been inserted, using different materials and degrees of transparency.

The yoga studio occupies what was the original south classroom and small exam rooms and offices on the north side were combined and opened up to create reception, office, and massage areas.
