Overall House

Concord, MA, is a well preserved New England town with a defined center surrounded by rolling hills and farms, all overseen by a vigilant Historic District Commission. Our clients owned a simple 1890’s farmhouse, which had been compromised by insensitive additions. They wanted to take the original house back to its basic shape and add, where necessary, in a sympathetic way that would not mimic or detract from the original form.

We removed all the additions, taking the house back to its simplest form. New additions are distinct, and located to the rear.
