Swett House

This house is about casual summer living. On all sides, the house extends beyond the 10” thick pavilion walls to create different types of outdoor spaces. On the entry and water sides, the flat roofs provide shelter from the sun and rain. To the north and south sides are screen porches for dining and sitting. The stone platform upon which the house sits extends out beyond the porches providing a sunny place to sit on calm days. Inside, simple detailing lets the views become the decoration.
